Narrative:

We were deviating around thunderstorms. Approach asked us to turn to a heading which would take us directly into the cell. I declined. Then ATC told us to immediately descend to 10000 ft and turn right (into thunderstorm). I then got a TA on TCASII, complied with ATC. She then gave us traffic, a B-737, 12 O'clock, 1 mi at 11000 ft and apologized to us for the mishandling, stating it was a 'communication' problem. She also gave the other aircraft an evasive turn. I think ZDV failed to coordinate our WX deviation with cos approach.

Narrative: WE WERE DEVIATING AROUND TSTMS. APCH ASKED US TO TURN TO A HDG WHICH WOULD TAKE US DIRECTLY INTO THE CELL. I DECLINED. THEN ATC TOLD US TO IMMEDIATELY DSND TO 10000 FT AND TURN R (INTO TSTM). I THEN GOT A TA ON TCASII, COMPLIED WITH ATC. SHE THEN GAVE US TFC, A B-737, 12 O'CLOCK, 1 MI AT 11000 FT AND APOLOGIZED TO US FOR THE MISHANDLING, STATING IT WAS A 'COM' PROB. SHE ALSO GAVE THE OTHER ACFT AN EVASIVE TURN. I THINK ZDV FAILED TO COORDINATE OUR WX DEV WITH COS APCH.
