Narrative:

Inbound VFR to in-73 (fleet field) from grand rapids. After proper radio reporting (non controled field), made normal landing during which the nose gear broke. Proceeded on hard surface runway holding nose up until plane stopped. Cause unknown at this time, maintenance person who observed broken shaft above wheel suspects there was a previously existing crack.
