Narrative:

On final at myr, got TA on TCASII descending through 1200 ft MSL. Traffic was 200 ft below us, then 100 ft. We initiated go around, told tower. They had us do visual pattern back to land and said it may have been a boat on intracoastal waterway, but I've personally never seen a boat at 1000 ft. As soon as we were established on downwind leg after the go around there was a cessna on short final. Apparently he was #2 to land at myr and the controllers never realized he was immediately below us on final (according to TCASII about 3/4 mi to the right and 100 ft below us). Since we could not see the aircraft, the go around was initiated and the TCASII possibly saved us again. I called the myr approach controller after landing and explained what had happened.

Title: LTT ACR MAKES A GAR AFTER RECEIVING A TCASII RA ON FINAL APCH.

Narrative: ON FINAL AT MYR, GOT TA ON TCASII DSNDING THROUGH 1200 FT MSL. TFC WAS 200 FT BELOW US, THEN 100 FT. WE INITIATED GAR, TOLD TWR. THEY HAD US DO VISUAL PATTERN BACK TO LAND AND SAID IT MAY HAVE BEEN A BOAT ON INTRACOASTAL WATERWAY, BUT I'VE PERSONALLY NEVER SEEN A BOAT AT 1000 FT. AS SOON AS WE WERE ESTABLISHED ON DOWNWIND LEG AFTER THE GAR THERE WAS A CESSNA ON SHORT FINAL. APPARENTLY HE WAS #2 TO LAND AT MYR AND THE CTLRS NEVER REALIZED HE WAS IMMEDIATELY BELOW US ON FINAL (ACCORDING TO TCASII ABOUT 3/4 MI TO THE R AND 100 FT BELOW US). SINCE WE COULD NOT SEE THE ACFT, THE GAR WAS INITIATED AND THE TCASII POSSIBLY SAVED US AGAIN. I CALLED THE MYR APCH CTLR AFTER LNDG AND EXPLAINED WHAT HAD HAPPENED.
