Narrative:

Tower cleared us into position on runway 18 and advised 'be ready for immediate as soon as air carrier traffic clears.' the captain had the engines spooled at 40 percent. The tower then said 'cleared for takeoff, traffic on 2 mi final, or clear the runway.' I responded 'cleared for takeoff, we're on the roll.' after power was set and automatic throttle showed 'thr hold' tower said 'cancel takeoff clearance and turn on runway 15.' after a moment, the captain said 'negative.' at that point we were at or about 100 KTS. I continued my duties monitoring engine instruments and airspeed. During the takeoff roll, the tower made several attempts to communicate with us. We did not respond until airborne and out of 500 ft.
