Narrative:

On takeoff runway 1 at rfd, the landing gear handle was selected to the up position with both red unlock lights and green down and locked lights in evidence. Tower was notified of our intention to return. The gear handle was reselected down returning the gear position indicator lights to normal. Our company was notified of the situation and an attempt was made to establish communications with maintenance operations control but our dispatcher was unable to. We accomplished the appropriate checklists and we made a normal landing.

Title: THE LNDG GEAR WOULDN'T LIFT ON AN ACR MDT.

Narrative: ON TKOF RWY 1 AT RFD, THE LNDG GEAR HANDLE WAS SELECTED TO THE UP POS WITH BOTH RED UNLOCK LIGHTS AND GREEN DOWN AND LOCKED LIGHTS IN EVIDENCE. TWR WAS NOTIFIED OF OUR INTENTION TO RETURN. THE GEAR HANDLE WAS RESELECTED DOWN RETURNING THE GEAR POS INDICATOR LIGHTS TO NORMAL. OUR COMPANY WAS NOTIFIED OF THE SIT AND AN ATTEMPT WAS MADE TO ESTABLISH COMS WITH MAINT OPS CTL BUT OUR DISPATCHER WAS UNABLE TO. WE ACCOMPLISHED THE APPROPRIATE CHKLISTS AND WE MADE A NORMAL LNDG.
