Narrative:

On takeoff roll at lax, autothrottle or FMC computer did not reach the takeoff computed north of 90.6 percent. Instead, takeoff thrust seemed to stabilize slightly below at 88.8 percent to north (on both engines). The first officer manually advanced both throttles and was able to achieve desired takeoff thrust on both engines. Normal acceleration and climb were achieved. Upon arrival in denver, the discrepancy between desired and actual takeoff was written up and maintenance was advised.
