Narrative:

While landing at the casa grande, az, airport (cgz) a plane was waiting to depart and I hurried to land and clear runway 05. I was flying approximately 90 KTS, with 25 degrees of flaps as I flared for landing. As I touched down, I became airborne again and porpoised twice before the plane settled on the runway. I realized I had a flat tire on the nosewheel while taxiing clear of the runway. I parked at the compass rose off the departure end of runway 05 and called a mechanic on the field who removed the nosewheel pant, wheel and tire. The wheel was bent and the tire was flat. He replaced the wheel and tire. After replacement, the wheel was not vertical to the ground and upon further inspection it became apparent that the strut had fully compressed and bent the lower hull, the plane floorboards, and the firewall. It is my perception that I should have gone around and landed at a slower speed, permitting the waiting plane to depart before I landed. There were no other contributing factors.

Title: PVT PLT OF SMA PORPOISED DURING LNDG RESULTING IN DAMAGE TO THE NOSE GEAR AND FUSELAGE OF THE ACFT.

Narrative: WHILE LNDG AT THE CASA GRANDE, AZ, ARPT (CGZ) A PLANE WAS WAITING TO DEPART AND I HURRIED TO LAND AND CLR RWY 05. I WAS FLYING APPROX 90 KTS, WITH 25 DEGS OF FLAPS AS I FLARED FOR LNDG. AS I TOUCHED DOWN, I BECAME AIRBORNE AGAIN AND PORPOISED TWICE BEFORE THE PLANE SETTLED ON THE RWY. I REALIZED I HAD A FLAT TIRE ON THE NOSEWHEEL WHILE TAXIING CLR OF THE RWY. I PARKED AT THE COMPASS ROSE OFF THE DEP END OF RWY 05 AND CALLED A MECH ON THE FIELD WHO REMOVED THE NOSEWHEEL PANT, WHEEL AND TIRE. THE WHEEL WAS BENT AND THE TIRE WAS FLAT. HE REPLACED THE WHEEL AND TIRE. AFTER REPLACEMENT, THE WHEEL WAS NOT VERT TO THE GND AND UPON FURTHER INSPECTION IT BECAME APPARENT THAT THE STRUT HAD FULLY COMPRESSED AND BENT THE LOWER HULL, THE PLANE FLOORBOARDS, AND THE FIREWALL. IT IS MY PERCEPTION THAT I SHOULD HAVE GONE AROUND AND LANDED AT A SLOWER SPD, PERMITTING THE WAITING PLANE TO DEPART BEFORE I LANDED. THERE WERE NO OTHER CONTRIBUTING FACTORS.
