Narrative:

Upon gear retraction, noticed gear in transit light on. Performed appropriate checklists. Returned to cvg without further incident. Upon inspection, found nose gear towing brace installed on upper section of strut. This is a maintenance function, should have been removed by maintenance. The device was the same color as gear linkage. No flag installed.

Narrative: UPON GEAR RETRACTION, NOTICED GEAR IN TRANSIT LIGHT ON. PERFORMED APPROPRIATE CHKLISTS. RETURNED TO CVG WITHOUT FURTHER INCIDENT. UPON INSPECTION, FOUND NOSE GEAR TOWING BRACE INSTALLED ON UPPER SECTION OF STRUT. THIS IS A MAINT FUNCTION, SHOULD HAVE BEEN REMOVED BY MAINT. THE DEVICE WAS THE SAME COLOR AS GEAR LINKAGE. NO FLAG INSTALLED.
