Narrative:

While taxiing to runway 3 at the grand canyon airport, my brakes failed and I pulled the mixtures to stop. Before stopping I ran into another aircraft, stopped at the hold short lines. To prevent recurrence, fix the brakes in the cessna 402C. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: reporter states that since the incident she had had 10-15 people speak to her about brake problems in this model. The brakes work fine at one point, then the next time they are used the pedals go to the floor. No gradual deterioration of braking. The FAA is still investigating the incident and reporter does not know of any conclusions they are making.
