Narrative:
We were at 1200 ft on a law enforcement mission 3 mi south of mia. Noticed that engine oil temperature was above maximum operating temperature. Notified mia tower that we were initiating a precautionary landing. Our maintenance personnel arrived, repaired problem, signed off logbook for flight and returned it to opf terminal 1.

Narrative: WE WERE AT 1200 FT ON A LAW ENFORCEMENT MISSION 3 MI S OF MIA. NOTICED THAT ENG OIL TEMP WAS ABOVE MAX OPERATING TEMP. NOTIFIED MIA TWR THAT WE WERE INITIATING A PRECAUTIONARY LNDG. OUR MAINT PERSONNEL ARRIVED, REPAIRED PROB, SIGNED OFF LOGBOOK FOR FLT AND RETURNED IT TO OPF TERMINAL 1.
