Narrative:

I was working local control at crg at approximately XA00 when small aircraft called 7 south inbound to land. About 10 mins later small aircraft notified tower that he did not have the field in sight, was not sure of his position. After using local reference points and eventually getting a discrete code from jax approach, we naved the aircraft to within sight of the tower. If crg had a d-brite radar this whole situation could have easily been avoided. This is a common situation at crg airport.
