Narrative:

Just after touchdown on the runway, observed a deer entering the runway from left to right, perpendicular to the runway. The deer collided with our left main landing gear and damaged the gear door, wing root to fuselage damage on fuselage, caused fuel leak, hit the left flap and destroyed it. Airplane continued to roll straight ahead with no apparent yaw or pitch abnormality. Time from observation of the deer to impact was less than 3 seconds (estimated). The copilot never saw the deer. Corrective action: there is much runway/taxiway construction in the area where we impacted the deer. There are no high fences in the area, and there are areas with no fence erected. The whole airport needs high fences to prevent this type of problem from recurring.

Title: CORPORATE ACFT HITS DEER ON RWY DURING LNDG ROLL.

Narrative: JUST AFTER TOUCHDOWN ON THE RWY, OBSERVED A DEER ENTERING THE RWY FROM L TO R, PERPENDICULAR TO THE RWY. THE DEER COLLIDED WITH OUR L MAIN LNDG GEAR AND DAMAGED THE GEAR DOOR, WING ROOT TO FUSELAGE DAMAGE ON FUSELAGE, CAUSED FUEL LEAK, HIT THE L FLAP AND DESTROYED IT. AIRPLANE CONTINUED TO ROLL STRAIGHT AHEAD WITH NO APPARENT YAW OR PITCH ABNORMALITY. TIME FROM OBSERVATION OF THE DEER TO IMPACT WAS LESS THAN 3 SECONDS (ESTIMATED). THE COPLT NEVER SAW THE DEER. CORRECTIVE ACTION: THERE IS MUCH RWY/TXWY CONSTRUCTION IN THE AREA WHERE WE IMPACTED THE DEER. THERE ARE NO HIGH FENCES IN THE AREA, AND THERE ARE AREAS WITH NO FENCE ERECTED. THE WHOLE ARPT NEEDS HIGH FENCES TO PREVENT THIS TYPE OF PROB FROM RECURRING.
