Narrative:

At approximately 20 mi from iyk, with iyk in sight, flight following was terminated, frequency change requested. A descent was started from 9500 ft accompanied with a descent and approach checklist. At approximately 15 mi, a radio call was made on iyk CTAF 122.8 indicating I was 15 mi southeast with plans to enter left traffic for runway 20 iyk, and a request for any other traffic to advise of their position. No response (landing runway was determined from company reported winds 230/15 gusting 20). At 10 mi, a 10 mi call was made indicating left traffic runway 20, iyk descending through 6000 ft. At 5 mi, a 5 mi call was made indicating left traffic runway 20 iyk. Upon entering downwind a call was made entering left downwind runway 20 iyk. A call was made at left base and final for runway 20 iyk. No other aircraft radio calls were made on 122.8 from 15 mi out till landing. Landing accomplished without apparent incident. Post landing checks completed after clearing runway 20. At this time it was noticed that an air carrier B light transport was landing runway 20. Upon entering the terminal and making preparations for the return trip to lax, I was approached by a passenger apparently from the air carrier B flight, stating that something needed to be done about what happened and that she won't be flying again till something is done. In an attempt to find out what she was talking about she walked away. At this time the captain from the air carrier B flight approached our counter stating that was close, didn't you see us. I said no and that I had not heard any radio calls and that I had made all the appropriate calls. In an attempt to get more information I urged the captain to explain further, but he departed without comment. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following: reporter was unable to add to the information contained in his report. He can only surmise that the 2 aircraft were both on final approach at the same time. He has been unable to contact the pilot of the other aircraft.
