Narrative:

Prior to taxi, I assisted a mother and her child to their seats. I helped fasten the child into his seat and then watched the mother fasten her seat belt. I returned to the cockpit and we continued our before takeoff, taxi, departure checks. Upon landing and unloading the passenger, I was approached by a gentleman who said he had a real problem with us taxiing while a mother was strapping in her child. He then told me he was going to call my company and the FAA. I can only assume that, at some point during our taxi, or perhaps because the engines were running as I was seating them, he is making this accusation. I, at no time, was aware of the woman strapping in her child unless she was making further adjustments to his seat as we were taxiing. I felt at the time that the gentleman who made the comment to us was quite rude and unprofessional in his approach. We received no other complaints from the other passenger or the woman with the child. Perhaps if the woman had been brought out to the plane prior to normal passenger boarding she would have had time to be better situated. One other idea that seems to make sense to me is to include a checklist item referring to passenger in their seats as a double-check prior to taxi.

Title: PAX OF AN LTT ACR ACFT COMPLAINED THAT ANOTHER PAX WAS STANDING DURING TAXI-OUT BEFORE TKOF TO READJUST HER BABY'S SAFETY STRAPS.

Narrative: PRIOR TO TAXI, I ASSISTED A MOTHER AND HER CHILD TO THEIR SEATS. I HELPED FASTEN THE CHILD INTO HIS SEAT AND THEN WATCHED THE MOTHER FASTEN HER SEAT BELT. I RETURNED TO THE COCKPIT AND WE CONTINUED OUR BEFORE TKOF, TAXI, DEP CHKS. UPON LNDG AND UNLOADING THE PAX, I WAS APCHED BY A GENTLEMAN WHO SAID HE HAD A REAL PROB WITH US TAXIING WHILE A MOTHER WAS STRAPPING IN HER CHILD. HE THEN TOLD ME HE WAS GOING TO CALL MY COMPANY AND THE FAA. I CAN ONLY ASSUME THAT, AT SOME POINT DURING OUR TAXI, OR PERHAPS BECAUSE THE ENGS WERE RUNNING AS I WAS SEATING THEM, HE IS MAKING THIS ACCUSATION. I, AT NO TIME, WAS AWARE OF THE WOMAN STRAPPING IN HER CHILD UNLESS SHE WAS MAKING FURTHER ADJUSTMENTS TO HIS SEAT AS WE WERE TAXIING. I FELT AT THE TIME THAT THE GENTLEMAN WHO MADE THE COMMENT TO US WAS QUITE RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL IN HIS APCH. WE RECEIVED NO OTHER COMPLAINTS FROM THE OTHER PAX OR THE WOMAN WITH THE CHILD. PERHAPS IF THE WOMAN HAD BEEN BROUGHT OUT TO THE PLANE PRIOR TO NORMAL PAX BOARDING SHE WOULD HAVE HAD TIME TO BE BETTER SITUATED. ONE OTHER IDEA THAT SEEMS TO MAKE SENSE TO ME IS TO INCLUDE A CHKLIST ITEM REFERRING TO PAX IN THEIR SEATS AS A DOUBLE-CHK PRIOR TO TAXI.
