Narrative:

I was unsure of the correct traffic pattern altitude to use at wayne county airport. The airport management has a sign inside their building indicating the traffic pattern altitude is 1936 ft MSL (800 ft AGL). The official airport/facility directory -- east central united states (may/93 edition) implies that the traffic pattern altitude is 2137 ft MSL (1000 ft AGL) since the traffic pattern altitude is not stated explicitly. The airport management should provide updated traffic pattern altitude information to the FAA/NOAA for inclusion in future airport facility directory editions.
