Narrative:

Small aircraft X departed midway airport on 250 degree heading climbing to 3000 ft. He was talking to chicago departure control. Cpr Y departs on 250 degree heading climbing to 3000 ft. Upon initial contact with chicago departure, the aircraft were less than standard IFR separation and I immediately turned cpr Y to 290 degree heading on initial contact. I informed the area supervisor of the conflict. This is the only information I have. It appears as though the midway tower controller must have forgotten about the slower small aircraft X and released the faster departure right into him.

Title: CPR Y HAD LTSS FROM SMA X. SYS ERROR.

Narrative: SMA X DEPARTED MIDWAY ARPT ON 250 DEG HDG CLBING TO 3000 FT. HE WAS TALKING TO CHICAGO DEP CTL. CPR Y DEPARTS ON 250 DEG HDG CLBING TO 3000 FT. UPON INITIAL CONTACT WITH CHICAGO DEP, THE ACFT WERE LESS THAN STANDARD IFR SEPARATION AND I IMMEDIATELY TURNED CPR Y TO 290 DEG HDG ON INITIAL CONTACT. I INFORMED THE AREA SUPVR OF THE CONFLICT. THIS IS THE ONLY INFO I HAVE. IT APPEARS AS THOUGH THE MIDWAY TWR CTLR MUST HAVE FORGOTTEN ABOUT THE SLOWER SMA X AND RELEASED THE FASTER DEP RIGHT INTO HIM.
