Narrative:

While parked, holding short of departure runway 3, dca airport, a helicopter approached, hovered in front, then air-taxied by us. Problem: the separation between our right wingtip and his rotating blades as he flew by was only about 20 ft. Ground control was made aware of this situation (helicopter approaching to land and air taxi on our narrow taxiway) but did not provide separation. The chopper pilot did not have to fly by us as close as he did. We were parked and helpless as he put us and our passenger at risk.

Title: AN AIR TAXIING HELI CAME VERY CLOSE TO THE WINGTIP OF A GND HOLDING ACR MDT.

Narrative: WHILE PARKED, HOLDING SHORT OF DEP RWY 3, DCA ARPT, A HELI APCHED, HOVERED IN FRONT, THEN AIR-TAXIED BY US. PROB: THE SEPARATION BTWN OUR R WINGTIP AND HIS ROTATING BLADES AS HE FLEW BY WAS ONLY ABOUT 20 FT. GND CTL WAS MADE AWARE OF THIS SIT (HELI APCHING TO LAND AND AIR TAXI ON OUR NARROW TXWY) BUT DID NOT PROVIDE SEPARATION. THE CHOPPER PLT DID NOT HAVE TO FLY BY US AS CLOSE AS HE DID. WE WERE PARKED AND HELPLESS AS HE PUT US AND OUR PAX AT RISK.
