Narrative:

Having departed runway 14L at ord and proceeding on the ord 9 departure we switched to ZAU and were cleared direct eon VOR and cleared to FL230. Climbing through approximately 10200 ft we observed a TCASII TA at 12 O'clock and 5 mi. Almost immediately we received a TCASII RA and 'possible traffic VFR 12 O'clock and 3 mi' call from ZAU. We immediately followed the TCASII tvsi resolution of 2000 FPM rate of descent. We descended to about 9200 ft before receiving the TCASII 'clear of traffic' aural signal. Traffic passed overhead at approximately 10500 ft and about 3000 ft east of our position.
