Narrative:

At FL200 cruise, got a TCASII on descending traffic at 1:30 O'clock position and 7 mi. Got RA and complied with descent instruction given by TCASII. Altitude deviation to 19300 ft. After clear of conflict, climbed back to FL200. ATC notified and were surprised that we got an RA since the traffic never came closer than 5 mi to our aircraft.
