Narrative:
On takeoff, unable to raise nose gear. Performed QRH and returned for normal landing. When parked, found nose gear locking pin still installed. I performed the walkaround inspection and failed to see the gear pin. When I was checking the nose gear the tow bar was not hooked (it usually is). I changed my pattern to look up inside the front gear door. I missed the gear pin.

Title: FLC OF AN MLG ACR ACFT RETURNED TO LAND AFTER NOT BEING ABLE TO RETRACT THE NOSE GEAR DUE TO THE RETRACTION LOCKING PIN STILL IN PLACE.
Narrative: ON TKOF, UNABLE TO RAISE NOSE GEAR. PERFORMED QRH AND RETURNED FOR NORMAL LNDG. WHEN PARKED, FOUND NOSE GEAR LOCKING PIN STILL INSTALLED. I PERFORMED THE WALKAROUND INSPECTION AND FAILED TO SEE THE GEAR PIN. WHEN I WAS CHKING THE NOSE GEAR THE TOW BAR WAS NOT HOOKED (IT USUALLY IS). I CHANGED MY PATTERN TO LOOK UP INSIDE THE FRONT GEAR DOOR. I MISSED THE GEAR PIN.
