Narrative:

Air carrier X en route dfw-atl, FL330. Instructed to hold at mei. On initial outbound turn to heading 300 degrees, we got a TA, target at 12 O'clock, altitude FL330, 10 mi separation. Other aircraft was instructed to turn south, we were instructed to turn to 360 degrees. We got an RA to descend, we did so to 32400. Air carrier Y was climbing and turning. Estimate 800 ft separation, and 2-3 mi lateral. Probably not a good idea to hold at en route altitude at en route fix. Supplemental information from acn 246735: the captain commenced the instructed descent (from the TA). He saw the other widebody transport and descended to about 32500. The other widebody transport climbed and turned.
