Narrative:

While on radar vectors to runway 27L localizer, we had a TCASII advisory indicating traffic above us and at about the 2 O'clock position. We had the traffic in sight. Other aircraft climbed, and was apparently on localizer for runway 26R. ATC gave us a late turn to intercept 27L localizer, resulting in TCASII advisory and a slight overshoot for us. Prior to this event, ATC had made a number of attempts to contact another aircraft, which could have resulted in them giving us our turn to final later than normal.
