Narrative:

While operating flight from ord to pit on evening of may/sun/93 it appeared a deer struck the left main landing gear upon landing rollout approximately 2000-2500 ft from the approach end of runway 28L. After the impact the remainder of the rollout was normal with no abnormalities concerning directional control, braking, or engine operation noted. We exited runway 28L at taxiway C3, turned the aircraft to the northeast and notified the tower controller and asked if he saw any damage. He viewed us with binoculars and noted nothing abnormal. Left/right hydraulic system quantities and pressures remained constant and normal as did brake pressures. The parking brake was then set, and I opened my clear view window and looked outside to note any damage. I saw none and observing all other aircraft system operating normal, I decided to continue to the gate. Prior to taxi the flight attendants and passenger were informed as to what had happened and our intentions. Upon our arrival at the gate, the dispatcher of the flight was notified by myself and informed of the deer strike as was the operations duty manager. Supplemental information from acn 242833: the deer hit the left gear and caused damage to flaps.
