Narrative:

Air carrier medium large transport was inbound to sat level at 6000 ft. Small aircraft was VFR at 5300 ft climbing to 5500 ft when traffic was issued. Air carrier advised his TCASII indicated the traffic was at 5600 ft and he was climbing in response to an RA. Sat was on cenrap plus at the time and altitude data was slow in updating on data block, so no altitude deviation was observed during the RA. The deviation is based only on the pilot's reporting his response to the RA.

Title: ALTDEV ALT EXCURSION BY PIC OF ACR FLT IN FLC RESPONSE TO TCASII RA. OPPOSITE DIRECTION CLBING TFC.

Narrative: ACR MLG WAS INBOUND TO SAT LEVEL AT 6000 FT. SMA WAS VFR AT 5300 FT CLBING TO 5500 FT WHEN TFC WAS ISSUED. ACR ADVISED HIS TCASII INDICATED THE TFC WAS AT 5600 FT AND HE WAS CLBING IN RESPONSE TO AN RA. SAT WAS ON CENRAP PLUS AT THE TIME AND ALT DATA WAS SLOW IN UPDATING ON DATA BLOCK, SO NO ALTDEV WAS OBSERVED DURING THE RA. THE DEV IS BASED ONLY ON THE PLT'S RPTING HIS RESPONSE TO THE RA.
