Narrative:

We contacted ground control, and were cleared to taxi to runway 7. Our route would eventually cross runway 7. The captain was taxiing and I was reading checklist 'heads down.' as always, I glanced up every few seconds. As we approached runway 7 midfield from our ramp, I glanced up and said 'stop, you're not cleared across.' the captain did not stop. The momentum of a slightly fast taxi speed and an arrogant 'I know what I'm doing' attitude combined at the wrong time. The only aircraft in the area was an small transport several mi away on the VOR-a approach. I explained the proper procedure to the captain, which he verified with a very patient and forgiving ground controller. Ironically, a ground stop to our destination required us to taxi back to our ramp before we took off. I feel I could have prevented this incursion by being more 'present at the airport' and less consumed with checklist procedures 'in the cockpit.' also, I could have made minor corrections to this arrogant captain earlier so that he would have expected serious input.

Title: LTT FLC CROSSES ASSIGNED RWY ON TAXI.

Narrative: WE CONTACTED GND CTL, AND WERE CLRED TO TAXI TO RWY 7. OUR RTE WOULD EVENTUALLY CROSS RWY 7. THE CAPT WAS TAXIING AND I WAS READING CHKLIST 'HEADS DOWN.' AS ALWAYS, I GLANCED UP EVERY FEW SECONDS. AS WE APCHED RWY 7 MIDFIELD FROM OUR RAMP, I GLANCED UP AND SAID 'STOP, YOU'RE NOT CLRED ACROSS.' THE CAPT DID NOT STOP. THE MOMENTUM OF A SLIGHTLY FAST TAXI SPD AND AN ARROGANT 'I KNOW WHAT I'M DOING' ATTITUDE COMBINED AT THE WRONG TIME. THE ONLY ACFT IN THE AREA WAS AN SMT SEVERAL MI AWAY ON THE VOR-A APCH. I EXPLAINED THE PROPER PROC TO THE CAPT, WHICH HE VERIFIED WITH A VERY PATIENT AND FORGIVING GND CTLR. IRONICALLY, A GND STOP TO OUR DEST REQUIRED US TO TAXI BACK TO OUR RAMP BEFORE WE TOOK OFF. I FEEL I COULD HAVE PREVENTED THIS INCURSION BY BEING MORE 'PRESENT AT THE ARPT' AND LESS CONSUMED WITH CHKLIST PROCS 'IN THE COCKPIT.' ALSO, I COULD HAVE MADE MINOR CORRECTIONS TO THIS ARROGANT CAPT EARLIER SO THAT HE WOULD HAVE EXPECTED SERIOUS INPUT.
