Narrative:
Departed iah for btr. Passing through 3000 ft MSL noticed a vibration, slowed, first officer looked outside and noticed engine #2 cowling loose and vibrating in the wind. Returned to iah for landing. Safe landing and maintenance inspected aircraft. Supplemental information from acn 233577: outboard access door of #2 engine cowling came open during flight. Returned to iah and landed.

Narrative: DEPARTED IAH FOR BTR. PASSING THROUGH 3000 FT MSL NOTICED A VIBRATION, SLOWED, FO LOOKED OUTSIDE AND NOTICED ENG #2 COWLING LOOSE AND VIBRATING IN THE WIND. RETURNED TO IAH FOR LNDG. SAFE LNDG AND MAINT INSPECTED ACFT. SUPPLEMENTAL INFO FROM ACN 233577: OUTBOARD ACCESS DOOR OF #2 ENG COWLING CAME OPEN DURING FLT. RETURNED TO IAH AND LANDED.
