Narrative:

While in cruise flight at 3500 ft the lead flight attendant reported a 'medical emergency' in the cabin. Cockpit crew elected to divert flight to fargo, nd, approximately 70 mi due north of our position. In order to 'expedite' captain declared an emergency and we exceeded 250 KTS below 10000 ft. Fargo approach was advised of our speed and reported no conflicting traffic problems.
