Narrative:

Being vectored on a left base for runway 8L at atl, heading 180 degrees (approximately 90 degree intercept) at 3000 ft MSL, approach control told us to look for traffic at our 11 O'clock position. I responded with I have 2 aircraft at 11 O'clock. The controller then told us to look for the aircraft that was moving faster.
