Narrative:

Pushed throttles up to beyond 1.5 EPR. Did not get the 'green light.' made a low-speed (20-30 KTS) abort and pulled off the active runway. Called our central maintenance facility in sfo, followed all book procedures; applied weight penalties, and continued without incident. (The 'green light' shows that the 'engine fail warning system' is armed). Supplemental information from acn 224835. The captain aborted the takeoff. This was due to an abnormal cockpit indication -- the 'automatic pack trip' system did not illuminate a green light to signal that the system was armed.
