Narrative:
Shortly after takeoff, noted smoke in cockpit with no cockpit indications of problems. Cabin also filled with odorless smoke. Elected to immediately return to ewr. Airborne 7 mins. Emergency vehicles checked aircraft, no problems noted. Returned to gate. Note: just prior to takeoff, aft flight attendant advised her 'jump seat' was broken. In accordance with our MEL, I advised her to take the closest passenger seat for takeoff.

Title: AN ACR MLG CREW RETURNED AND LANDED BECAUSE OF SMOKE IN THE COCKPIT AND CABIN.
Narrative: SHORTLY AFTER TKOF, NOTED SMOKE IN COCKPIT WITH NO COCKPIT INDICATIONS OF PROBLEMS. CABIN ALSO FILLED WITH ODORLESS SMOKE. ELECTED TO IMMEDIATELY RETURN TO EWR. AIRBORNE 7 MINS. EMER VEHICLES CHKED ACFT, NO PROBLEMS NOTED. RETURNED TO GATE. NOTE: JUST PRIOR TO TKOF, AFT FLT ATTENDANT ADVISED HER 'JUMP SEAT' WAS BROKEN. IN ACCORDANCE WITH OUR MEL, I ADVISED HER TO TAKE THE CLOSEST PAX SEAT FOR TKOF.
