Narrative:

On departure sjc (loupe) level 5000 ft on 120 degree heading. We experienced a TCASII TA. Simultaneously, controller issued turn to avoid possible collision. We never received RA. I estimate a miss by 200 ft and close to 3 NM. As observed on TCASII IMC, so no visual on other aircraft. Suspect controller was overloaded while controling our aircraft. Give him more help!
