Narrative:

During taxi at ont, our clearance was changed to include the pomona 6 departure out of ont off of runway 26R. The first officer programmed the FMC to include the departure. As we were taxiing, I quickly checked the departure. We both missed the fact that he hadn't programmed the daggett transition. After pom with the first officer flying and aircraft in LNAV, the aircraft turned direct to daggett. We were questioned by controller about our heading. We were then cleared to go direct daggett and maintain our own terrain clearance. It was very clear and with our performance, terrain clearance was not a problem.
