Narrative:

Air carrier Y at cruise was the other aircraft involved. My left side thought that sector 60 was stopping the air taxi Y at FL210. He put that altitude in the data block, after restating what he heard on the handoff line. Sector 60 failed to hear what he said and thought we were going to stop atx X. At the time my left side put in the int altitude, atx X was already on our frequency climbing to FL220. We were busy and he had not heard atx X check on. The 2 got together at 220 with 4.5 mi and 600 ft. I was controller a for not seeing the altitude deviation in time, even though I was not made aware of any communication between my left side and sector 60. My left side was controller B. R60 controller got nothing. In my opinion he should be held accountable also because he missed a readback. Had he listened to what my left side said, or used correct phraseology when he coordinated with my left side, the whole thing would have never happened.
