Narrative:

We were flight #1 wbound tpa-iah at 35000. Flight #2 was eastbound at 33000. Center never told us we had approaching traffic. At 10 mi, we both got TA alerts, no visual contact. At 9 mi, we both got RA's. We were told to climb, #2 was told to descend with his RA. We both told center what we were doing but center was slow to respond and when he did, it was like ok but you're at 35000 and he's at 33000, what's the big deal? His attitude seemed very lackadaisical. We went to 36200, #2 went to 31900. We both received clear of traffic. This took place south of pensacola, fl on J-86.
