TCASII event. Descent clearance was to 7000 ft. At 8000 TCASII TA call followed by RA at 7000 ft. Climb command was followed at 2000 FPM to 8000 ft till 'clear of conflict' call. Traffic at 12 O'clock. First officer saw traffic at 3 O'clock less than 2 mi after clear call.
