Narrative:

Having been cleared to follow an small transport on final, I slowed to 170 IAS. The TCASII gave us a TA along with loss of sight on the small transport who we were cleared to follow for a visual to 17L. Small transport descended into haze. We were instructed to square the final for interval. Our turn extended west of the final course, incurring an RA to climb. RA followed and a correction back to final executed. Our 170 speed never changed. However, the small transport slowed and when resighted, was low and approximately 1 1/2 NM ahead. Tower cleared the small transport to land 17R and we continued 17L. Contributing facts: loss of visual sight due to a haze layer at 3000 ft. Square turn to final interrupted by TCASII TA. Resulting RA to follow and correct appropriate action by crew was completed. When we broke below the haze layer, we were right of final and correcting back. Aircraft separation of 1 1/2 due to the small transport slowing to final approach speed early. Heavy aircraft loading with combined loss of visual contact with visual traffic to 17L. TCASII TA contributing factors.

Title: AN MLG ACR CREW HAD A TCASII ALERT IN THE TFC PATTERN WITH AN SMT THAT HAD BEEN LOST VISUALLY IN THE HAZE. BOTH ACFT LANDED SAFELY ON PARALLEL RWYS AFTER A NEW CLRNC WAS ISSUED.

Narrative: HAVING BEEN CLRED TO FOLLOW AN SMT ON FINAL, I SLOWED TO 170 IAS. THE TCASII GAVE US A TA ALONG WITH LOSS OF SIGHT ON THE SMT WHO WE WERE CLRED TO FOLLOW FOR A VISUAL TO 17L. SMT DSNDED INTO HAZE. WE WERE INSTRUCTED TO SQUARE THE FINAL FOR INTERVAL. OUR TURN EXTENDED W OF THE FINAL COURSE, INCURRING AN RA TO CLB. RA FOLLOWED AND A CORRECTION BACK TO FINAL EXECUTED. OUR 170 SPD NEVER CHANGED. HOWEVER, THE SMT SLOWED AND WHEN RESIGHTED, WAS LOW AND APPROX 1 1/2 NM AHEAD. TWR CLRED THE SMT TO LAND 17R AND WE CONTINUED 17L. CONTRIBUTING FACTS: LOSS OF VISUAL SIGHT DUE TO A HAZE LAYER AT 3000 FT. SQUARE TURN TO FINAL INTERRUPTED BY TCASII TA. RESULTING RA TO FOLLOW AND CORRECT APPROPRIATE ACTION BY CREW WAS COMPLETED. WHEN WE BROKE BELOW THE HAZE LAYER, WE WERE R OF FINAL AND CORRECTING BACK. ACFT SEPARATION OF 1 1/2 DUE TO THE SMT SLOWING TO FINAL APCH SPD EARLY. HVY ACFT LOADING WITH COMBINED LOSS OF VISUAL CONTACT WITH VISUAL TFC TO 17L. TCASII TA CONTRIBUTING FACTORS.
