Flight en route msp to bos. FL310. #2 engine has slight rumble and then flame out. Attempted relight at FL310. Descended to FL270. 2 relights attempted. Flight checked WX at area stations. Area was saturated with thunderstorms. FL270 was the basic tops of most thunderstorms. After checking WX (example, syracuse was 1 mi visibility and rain), the decision was made to proceed to bos for landing as the best area WX was there. The rest of flight was uneventful.
