Narrative:

Around the 500 ft callout, TCASII issued an RA target on top of us at 600 ft. No TA was given. At that time a reduced descent was aurally and visually displayed. We pitched up to about 2 dots above GS and then received an all clear. Landed without incident. Tower reported traffic 1-2 mi, 3 oþclock, 600 ft -- a helicopter. RA was an erroneous, unneeded, distracting element at 500 ft on approach to landing. At the most important time during an approach, where all attention should be given to landing, we were all disrupted looking for a serious RA threat that did not exist. No TA was given. Suggest shutting down TCASII OM inbound.
