Narrative:

While cruising at FL430, I noticed the left stall warn red light illuminate. Immediately the aircraft pitched violently up and then down. Our speed was then too low to climb back to FL430 and the copilot requested FL410 at my request. Center said it would be a few mins but we were already at 42000 ft and advised center of this. We were then cleared to FL410 and continued our descent as our airspeed increased. After the situation stabilized, we requested and were cleared back up to FL430. The malfunction was reported to maintenance when we arrived at our destination.
