Narrative:

While flying towards dfw on scy 296 degree radial at 11000 ft our TCASII displayed traffic at 11 O'clock 1800 ft below and climbing, a white diamond. Within seconds, the TCASII issued a yellow traffic, then within 2-3 seconds issued an RA of 'climb climb.' we had the aircraft visually after the 'traffic traffic' advisory. Shortly after the RA, I was about to lose sight of the intruding aircraft under the nose of our aircraft. I then directed my copilot to climb and follow the RA. We climbed to 11500. Just as we started climb, I advised ATC we were climbing in accordance with TCASII. ATC verified that our traffic had leveled at 10000 ft and we immediately returned to 11000 ft and slowed to 210 KTS.

Narrative: WHILE FLYING TOWARDS DFW ON SCY 296 DEG RADIAL AT 11000 FT OUR TCASII DISPLAYED TFC AT 11 O'CLOCK 1800 FT BELOW AND CLBING, A WHITE DIAMOND. WITHIN SECONDS, THE TCASII ISSUED A YELLOW TFC, THEN WITHIN 2-3 SECONDS ISSUED AN RA OF 'CLB CLB.' WE HAD THE ACFT VISUALLY AFTER THE 'TFC TFC' ADVISORY. SHORTLY AFTER THE RA, I WAS ABOUT TO LOSE SIGHT OF THE INTRUDING ACFT UNDER THE NOSE OF OUR ACFT. I THEN DIRECTED MY COPLT TO CLB AND FOLLOW THE RA. WE CLBED TO 11500. JUST AS WE STARTED CLB, I ADVISED ATC WE WERE CLBING IN ACCORDANCE WITH TCASII. ATC VERIFIED THAT OUR TFC HAD LEVELED AT 10000 FT AND WE IMMEDIATELY RETURNED TO 11000 FT AND SLOWED TO 210 KTS.
