Narrative:

Came to work for existing (3 yrs) operation flying light transport under part 91 under 12500 pounds. Was told no type rating or associated proficiency checks were required. Under careful reading of far 61.58 and E-110 type certificate, I now think the proficiency checks are required for IFR or night. Proficiency check will be completed prior to any further IFR or night flight. Certification of aircraft is unique, where 2 pilots are required for night or IFR flight.
