Narrative:
After receiving an air navigation chart change to all the stars into memphis, I was flying into memphis. The middy 7 STAR had many significant route changes leading to gilmore and had studied these changes however because of a small change a bowen intersection and the many major route changes that I had studied I managed to miss the small change on the STAR at bowen. After flying the same STAR for many yrs I saw what I expected to see at bowen rather than what was actually on the paper. My suggestion to help prevent his oversight from happening with a new navigation chart change would be for chart manufacturer to be more specific about each change to a new plate. On this STAR chart only mentions all the changes collectively as the reason for the change; 'route changes.'
