Narrative:

There is a wedge of airspace to the north and east of hunters point that is controled by 2 authorities at once usually sfo tower (for the TCA) and NAS alameda tower (for NAS's air traffic area) note: NAS gives up control to oakland tower when NAS weather goes below 1000/3. Cg helicopters pass through that airspace at 700 ft on an average of 6 times a day. Usually there are no problems because we got frequency changes prior to entering the next persons airspace, but if one controller wants to hold on due to WX or traffic or frequency congestion - you end up in violation of the next airspace without a clearance. (The controllers are knowledgeable of this and understanding, but it is just a matter of time before a pilot gets a flight violation suggestion - have NAS alameda ATC boundary correspond with the edge of the TCA and arsa. The same potential goes for the wedge of airspace between the oak ATC and sfo TCA. Ie this is not unique! Pilots are being set up for violation by the way the airspace is constructed.

Title: SFO NGZ OAK TWR'S, TRACON AIRSPACE CONFIGN. UNAUTHORIZED UNCOORD PENETRATION OF AIRSPACE.

Narrative: THERE IS A WEDGE OF AIRSPACE TO THE N AND E OF HUNTERS POINT THAT IS CTLED BY 2 AUTHORITIES AT ONCE USUALLY SFO TWR (FOR THE TCA) AND NAS ALAMEDA TWR (FOR NAS'S ATA) NOTE: NAS GIVES UP CTL TO OAKLAND TWR WHEN NAS WEATHER GOES BELOW 1000/3. CG HELIS PASS THROUGH THAT AIRSPACE AT 700 FT ON AN AVERAGE OF 6 TIMES A DAY. USUALLY THERE ARE NO PROBLEMS BECAUSE WE GOT FREQ CHANGES PRIOR TO ENTERING THE NEXT PERSONS AIRSPACE, BUT IF ONE CTLR WANTS TO HOLD ON DUE TO WX OR TFC OR FREQ CONGESTION - YOU END UP IN VIOLATION OF THE NEXT AIRSPACE WITHOUT A CLRNC. (THE CTLRS ARE KNOWLEDGEABLE OF THIS AND UNDERSTANDING, BUT IT IS JUST A MATTER OF TIME BEFORE A PLT GETS A FLT VIOLATION SUGGESTION - HAVE NAS ALAMEDA ATC BOUNDARY CORRESPOND WITH THE EDGE OF THE TCA AND ARSA. THE SAME POTENTIAL GOES FOR THE WEDGE OF AIRSPACE BTWN THE OAK ATC AND SFO TCA. IE THIS IS NOT UNIQUE! PLTS ARE BEING SET UP FOR VIOLATION BY THE WAY THE AIRSPACE IS CONSTRUCTED.
