Narrative:

We were taxiing to runway 6R. We started from taxiway 42 and we were taxiing standard taxi via inner (kilo) to 48. We passed L-48 when we saw (air carrier) (large transport Y) taxiing on same taxiway in opposite direction. We flashed our landing light at him. We stopped and he stopped. We had to wait :50 mins for a tug to push large transport Y back. I suppose this must happen often. A simple solution would be to add a connecting taxiway around the 50 yard line.

Title: ACFT TAXI RTE CONFLICT WITH ANOTHER ACFT.

Narrative: WE WERE TAXIING TO RWY 6R. WE STARTED FROM TAXIWAY 42 AND WE WERE TAXIING STANDARD TAXI VIA INNER (KILO) TO 48. WE PASSED L-48 WHEN WE SAW (ACR) (LGT Y) TAXIING ON SAME TAXIWAY IN OPPOSITE DIRECTION. WE FLASHED OUR LNDG LIGHT AT HIM. WE STOPPED AND HE STOPPED. WE HAD TO WAIT :50 MINS FOR A TUG TO PUSH LGT Y BACK. I SUPPOSE THIS MUST HAPPEN OFTEN. A SIMPLE SOLUTION WOULD BE TO ADD A CONNECTING TAXIWAY AROUND THE 50 YARD LINE.
