Narrative:

We had our airline's principal operations inspector (poi) on the jump seat when we took off on runway 31L at dfw airport. At +/- 80-100 KIAS we encountered several valleys and bumps in the runway. I really had to hold on to the nose gear tiller and we could hear the nose gear bottoming out. Metal against metal inside the nose gear strut! It was terrible! Even the FAA inspector said words about it! Pass this on to dfw! That runway should not be used for takeoff. Next time I'm going to decline takeoff on it. It's unsafe.
