Narrative:

Aircraft was pushed back from gate at dtw which is controled by company gate control. Due to heavy snow fall approximately 4 hours prior, the tug driver was unable to push aircraft into alley and ended up pushing us onto an active taxiway without clearance from dtw ground control. Ground control took exception to this and stated that fact to us. During the ensuing conversation with ground control trying to explain the situation, I misheard the taxi instructions and turned on the wrong taxiway to get to the active runway. The intersection that I wrongly turned to was precisely the point where we are to change radio frequencys from west ground to east ground control. East ground control reissued a clearance and we proceeded to the runway without incident.
