Narrative:

Cleared for visual to runway 28 abeam runway at 3000 ft MSL. ATIS indicated no problem with taxiways. Captain obtained ATIS. I flew approach and made the landing both approach and landing were normal with no difficulty stopping. Captain took aircraft at almost a complete stop. We were then told to continue another 2000 ft to taxiway 'G'. As the turnoff was initiated aircraft drifted left while moving forward. Aircraft came to a complete stop halfway between the runway and parallel taxiway with left main about 2-3 off pavement and nose about 4 ft off. An airport vehicle arrived and driver said that he had instructed tower not to use this taxiway. A sheet of glare ice was on the airport and this taxiway had not been sanded. We did not know either of these conditions. Passengers were deplaned out the aft airstairs with no injuries and aircraft was pulled off of grass about an hour later. No damage to aircraft. Apparently there was poor communication between airport maintenance, the tower, and flcs.
