Narrative:

After landing on runway 13 at greg county airport (GGG), longview, we turned nwbound on the taxiway. It was a dark night! Ground told us to hold short of runway 22. As we approached runway 22 ground cleared us to cross 22 and hold short of runway 17. Runway 22 did have a red runway sign at the taxiway, but runway 17 does not (maybe it was burned out). I almost taxied too far and would have been onto the runway 17 which had landing traffic on it. I stopped in time and stayed clear of runway 17, because our pwrful landing lights illuminating the taxiway and the landing aircraft gave me a clue where runway 17 was. I told ground about the very unsafe situation! It scared me getting that close to an active runway. That intersection needs a runway hold short sign!

Title: FLC OF LTT TAXIING AT GGG UNABLE TO SEE RWY TO HOLD SHORT -- NO SIGN.

Narrative: AFTER LNDG ON RWY 13 AT GREG COUNTY ARPT (GGG), LONGVIEW, WE TURNED NWBOUND ON THE TAXIWAY. IT WAS A DARK NIGHT! GND TOLD US TO HOLD SHORT OF RWY 22. AS WE APCHED RWY 22 GND CLRED US TO CROSS 22 AND HOLD SHORT OF RWY 17. RWY 22 DID HAVE A RED RWY SIGN AT THE TAXIWAY, BUT RWY 17 DOES NOT (MAYBE IT WAS BURNED OUT). I ALMOST TAXIED TOO FAR AND WOULD HAVE BEEN ONTO THE RWY 17 WHICH HAD LNDG TFC ON IT. I STOPPED IN TIME AND STAYED CLR OF RWY 17, BECAUSE OUR PWRFUL LNDG LIGHTS ILLUMINATING THE TAXIWAY AND THE LNDG ACFT GAVE ME A CLUE WHERE RWY 17 WAS. I TOLD GND ABOUT THE VERY UNSAFE SITUATION! IT SCARED ME GETTING THAT CLOSE TO AN ACTIVE RWY. THAT INTXN NEEDS A RWY HOLD SHORT SIGN!
