Narrative:

Received TA on TCASII followed immediately by RA 'climb, climb.' required 1500-2000 FPM vertical climb rate to get in green band. Climbed to 26700 before RA cleared. Descended back to 26000 ft and ATC notified of altitude deviation due to TCASII RA. ATC advised an aircraft was climbing to FL250 at time of RA. TCASII RA was unnecessary. Please discontinue TCASII RA mode and regulation until bugs are worked out. This occurrence was due solely to the shortcomings in TCASII RA software/hardware and thus causing unnecessary excursion from ATC assigned altitude. Please keep the TCASII TA mode and discontinue the error prone RA mode.

Title: ACR HAS TCASII TA THEN RA. CLBS.

Narrative: RECEIVED TA ON TCASII FOLLOWED IMMEDIATELY BY RA 'CLB, CLB.' REQUIRED 1500-2000 FPM VERT CLB RATE TO GET IN GREEN BAND. CLBED TO 26700 BEFORE RA CLRED. DSNDED BACK TO 26000 FT AND ATC NOTIFIED OF ALTDEV DUE TO TCASII RA. ATC ADVISED AN ACFT WAS CLBING TO FL250 AT TIME OF RA. TCASII RA WAS UNNECESSARY. PLEASE DISCONTINUE TCASII RA MODE AND REG UNTIL BUGS ARE WORKED OUT. THIS OCCURRENCE WAS DUE SOLELY TO THE SHORTCOMINGS IN TCASII RA SOFTWARE/HARDWARE AND THUS CAUSING UNNECESSARY EXCURSION FROM ATC ASSIGNED ALT. PLEASE KEEP THE TCASII TA MODE AND DISCONTINUE THE ERROR PRONE RA MODE.
