Narrative:

On landing in phl, tower crossed a widebody transport Y at B taxiway. I had to make a go around. The tower (at 100 ft above the ground) told me to side step to 27L. This idea is terrible! Just turning the medium large transport X with a 40 ft wing span only gives you a 50 ft clearance above the ground. I told the tower they should just give a go around and not try and talk a pilot into sidestepping to 27L when you are only 100 ft above the ground.
